Today marks the fifteenth anniversary of the launch of the ESPN™ World Salsa Championships, and to celebrate, Noel Roque, CEO of World Dance Group, is launching a special Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection titled WSC Golden Moves. NFTs are digital artworks that can be bought, sold and traded.
This special collection pays homage to all of the past competitors who have taken part in the championships since 2005. Dancers from around the world will be featured in this unique celebration of salsa dancing skill and artistry. The Golden Moves collection will contain various different digital art styles created by some of salsa’s greatest dancers, as well as video clips from performances throughout the years.
Furthermore, dancers are granted a special Christmas bonus as World Dance Group will share its profits with the dancers featured in each video moment. Best of all, these moments are completely original and one-of-a-kind.
The godmother of this project is 88 year-old salsa dancer Paddy Jones – current Guinness World Record holder for ‘Oldest Acrobatic Salsa Dancer’. She’ll be featured along with her dance partner Nico Espinosa, as the protagonists of Golden Moves NFT #23.
The NFTs are available on the website www.worldsalsachampionships.com and in Open Sea Marketplace, where fans can buy, sell and trade their own collections. This marks a major milestone for both World Dance Group and the ESPN™ World Salsa Championships – a fitting tribute to fifteen years of passionate performances that have captivated audiences worldwide.
Whether you’re a fan or an avid collector looking to add something new to your portfolio, now is your chance to get involved! As fans look back over fifteen years since its inception in 2005, they can add even more meaning to their celebrations by purchasing or trading these incredibly unique Non-Fungible Tokens available now at Open Sea Marketplace!
Secure your piece of history with the limited edition WSC Golden Moves NFT and help dancers get their Christmas bonus!” (a percentage will be donated to each dancer). Check out Open Sea Marketplace at: https://opensea.io/collection/world-salsa-championships.
